My Top 5 Favorite Mac and Cheese Dishes Ever

First of all, welcome to the blog! I am excited that each and every one of you is reading my first post. Next, I decided to start off the blog with my favorite food, mac and cheese. Some may even call me a “Mac and Cheese Expert”. When I say I know mac and cheese, I am not joking around. Today I am going to be sharing my 5 favorite mac and cheese dishes and giving some details about each one. Each individual mac and cheese recipe has its own strengths, making each one a strong contender for the “best mac and cheese” title. But there can only be one :)

#5 Sketch London

Sketch may be known for their extravagant afternoon tea and beautiful, artistic bathrooms, but if you want something different, mac and cheese is the way to go. This is probably the cheesiest dish of the list, coming with an uneven ratio of cheese to pasta. Nonetheless, the cheese mixture of this dish was fantastic and so creamy. It takes a real cheese lover to be able to finish this dish, which of course I could.

#4 My World Famous Truffle Mac and Cheese

There was no way I could complete a list of my favorite mac and cheese dishes without including one of my own. Pictured here is a tri-blend of cheeses (mozzarella, cheddar and white cheddar) with truffle salt. The love I have for truffle salt is unmatched. It fits in with every dish and adds that needed flavor. This mac and cheese gives that fancy but homemade ooey-goey touch that I am always looking for.

#3 Mexicue

I know what you’re thinking- “mac and cheese at a Mexican restaurant??” When I first ordered this dish I wasn’t expecting much. I surprisingly wasn’t in the mood for tacos so I decided to try their mac and cheese and I was pleasantly surprised. This poblano mac and cheese had the perfect amount of cheese paired with the spicy element that I was looking for. I couldn’t stop eating it, which speaks to the perfect ratio. I am also a sucker for cool pasta shapes (LOL) just like this one. I am here to say Mexican mac and cheese is AMAZING.

#2 The Mac Factory London

We have already established that London has some great mac and cheese and I couldn’t complete my list without this place. Located in Camden Market, The Mac Factory is surrounded by different food stands, but this one stands out. Fresh off my overnight flight (extremely jet-legged), I knew Camden Market and the Mac Factory had to be my first stop of the trip. Their classic mozzarella and white cheddar cheese blend is nothing but spectacular. The bread crumbs on top pull the dish together, adding a mixture of textures. It is fair to say I dream about this mac and cheese. Please open a restaurant in New York.

#1 The Smith

The moment you all have been waiting for…. my favorite mac and cheese is from…. the Smith! The Smith may be known for its amazing burgers and other comfort food, but their mac and cheese is a must. With each bite their delicious four-cheese-blend melts in your mouth. The oven bake on top gives the perfect crust to this amazing dish. This mac and cheese is the perfect appetizer to start your meal off right. I could not recommend and rave about this mac and cheese more.
