How To Upgrade Boxed Brownies

Brownies are easily my favorite dessert. They are so creamy, goey, chocolatey, and delicious. I could honestly just eat brownie batter all day long. If you are like me, you love brownies but are sometimes too lazy to make them homemade. That is where I come in! Today I will be sharing with you my two favorite recipes: peanut butter chip brownies and slutty brownies (still not sure why they are called that). Continue reading to learn my SECRET recipes.

Gather Your Ingredients

This recipe is sooooo easy to make. All you need is boxed brownies, ingredients listed on the box, and a bag of peanut butter chips. I used my favorites, Reese’s.

Make Your Brownies

Once you have your ingredients, it is time to add everything to a bowl. Mix it up well, making sure to not leave any clumps of brownie mix.

Add Your Peanut Butter

Add about 3/4 of the bag of peanut butter chips. Try and stir the batter as evenly as possible. This duo of fudge and peanut butter is to die for!

Time To Bake

Once your batter is ready to go, evenly distribute your batter. I decided to go with cupcake liners but choose whatever works for you. Make sure to top them off with the remaining chips. Bake them according to your box!

Gather Your Ingredients

Similar to the last recipe, this is so easy to make! Grab a boxed mix, ingredients from the box, oreos, and cookie dough. For your oreos, feel free to change up the flavor according to whatever you are feeling. I could so go for peanut butter pie oreos right now :)))

Make Your Batter

Follow the instructions on your boxed brownies mix to put together your brownie batter!!!

Place Your Cookie Dough

The first step to assembling your brownies is putting down the cookie dough.

For my pan of choice, I went with this pre-determined brownie tray. I absolutely love it so much. It makes making brownies even easier!

In each little container, I put about a tablespoon of cookie dough. It should go about 1/3 of the way. Make sure to really press down to make sure the mixture is compact.

Add Your Oreos

On top of the cookie dough, add your oreos. Press down on these to make sure they are really indented into the dough. Do not worry if they break, it will not make a difference!!

Add Your Brownie Batter

The last step is to add your brownie batter. Make sure to add just enough to cover the oreos but not too much where they will overflow. You have to look for the perfect balance.

Bake Your Brownies

For slutty brownies, they typically bake a little bit differently than what the box says. I put mine in at 350 for 30-40 mins. Make sure to check your brownies with a toothpick and then enjoy!
